The Jacob Stanley Family of Wilkes Co., NC 

This is a Stanley Surname Genealogy website which was created, and is maintained by Judy Stanley Cardwell.  This website follows a different Stanley family line out of NC.  While the “Jacob Stanley family” line also has a Haplo grouping of R1b1, it currently appears to be not to be directly connected to the “Stanley of Orange Co., VA,” Stanley family line of this website.

This is a wonderful Stanley website with lots of material on Early English Stanleys, which was created by Nigel Stanley, who is also part of our DNA Stanley Surname Network. This website has an excellent an Chapter on Emigration to America.

Stanley Surname Network 
This is a public website on Stanley Genealogy for the “Stanley Surname Network" to encourage other Stanley member genealogist from the general public, to become more familiar with Y-DNA Genealogy, and consider joining the group and having a Y-DNA test. This website is administrated by Nell Stanley, who is also part of our DNA Stanley Surname Network group, her husband Richard Stanley’s family line has a Haplo grouping of I1b, which is entirely different Stanley grouping from this website.

This is a restricted “password only” website which is offered by invitation, to Stanley genealogist who elect have complete  a Stanley Y-DNA test. The results of the Y-DNA test along with a required pedigree, are posted within this website, for the other members to use in their Stanley research.  Currently, there are about 35 different Stanley genealogist which have joined this group, and share their Y-DNA test results and Stanley research. This website contains an impressive amount of Stanley genealogical material, which is available to its members

The information contained in this website is derived from the book, published in 1887 and compiled by Israel P. Warren (A Stanley Descendant), entitled "The Stanley Families of America As Descended From John, Timothy, and Thomas Stanley of Hartford, CT. 1636". There are 4525 descendants listed in the book, not including spouses, parents of spouses, children with last names other than Stanley, and descendants born after publication of the book in 1887.
