On the 1860 Caroline County census, family #1229/1229 is William Procto r. Family #1230/1230 is John Smith, age 32, and Wineford Smith, age 5 6. He is a farmer; real estate value is $200, personal value is $75. Fam ily #1231/1231 is Stark Purks. Family #1232/1232 is William Mills, whe re Isabella Mills is 21 and residing.
