I, George Stanley do make this my last will and Testament
in manner and form following, first I devise my executor who
shall be hereafter named shall adjust settle and pay all of my
debts and funeral expenses. I give to my son ROBERT J. Stanley
all of my property of every description, negroes, bonds, debts If
he should be living or should die without heirs or making
any deposition of the property, I then will the same to
following persons. First I give my woman Marcer[Marcia] and her five
children and future increase to my friend and relation SWINFIELD
Standley, I also give to him my lands in the State of North
Carolina. I give to CATHARINE Stanley the wife of GEORGE W. Standley
one tract of land that I estimate at ninety acres on the upper
end of my Tract the line to commence in Jacob Briants line
thence a straight line to the narrows below where JOE Standley
formerly lived and thence with the leading edge to the
Guilliams Tract I give to my friend JACOB BRIANTS one tract
of land I estimate at (15) fifteen acres the line to begin at the
fork of the Creek and along an old fence row to the
lots of the Coitch Mountain the balance of my land and
other property I may have I give to my friends PETER SAUNDERS
JR. and CROCKETT J. SAUNDERS with the understanding the
allow *AMANDA YOUNG AND *JANE YOUNG to remain at the
place they now occupy during their lifetime or at their will

The last will and testament of George Standley Decd. was produced
in Court and proved by the oath of Charity Mullins on of the
subscribing witnesses hereto who also proved that Elizabeth Mullins
the other subscribing witness hereto will
in her presence and in the presence of the Testator as a
witness hereto the said will is admitted to record, and on the
motion of Peter Saunders Jr. one of the Executors one of the Executors named in
said will who made oath and executed bond with security
according to law certificate is granted him to obtain a probate
of said will in due form liberty being reserved to Crockett J.
Saunders the other executor therein named to join in said
