"Baron DeKalb McKaughan married Mariah Stanley and lived in the Ivy Springs neighborhood. They were faithful members of the Baptist Church and honored for the high standard which characterized their home. Their children were Jesse, a Baptist minister and field representative for Meredith College, Lucy (Fleming), Dallas and Rosa, who married Thomas H. Cash, longtime superintendent of Schools in Forsyth County." 1334
