In the last two years of the Civil War, Lemuel William Stanley worked in “Collins Ore Bank”, which is assumed to be the mine his uncle Lemuel J. Stanley worked in. In 1931 he unsuccessfully attempted to get a pension from the state of North Carolina for these services. He was a farmer. 216

Lemuel William second married Mary A. "Mollie" COLLINS.216 Born on 20 Jun 1872 in North Carolina. Mary A. "Mollie" died in Surry Co., NC on 20 Apr 1954, she was 81. Buried in Collins Family Graveyard.

On 17 Oct 1877 when Laura Jane was 23, she married Lihue Millard "Tall" WALL, son of Burl J. WALL & Elizabeth CARTER, in Surry Co., NC.1504 Born on 25 Jul 1850 in Wilkes Co., NC. Lihue Millard "Tall" died in Surry Co., NC on 31 Dec 1921, he was 71. Buried in Mulberry Primitive Bap. Ch. Cemetery.

Lihue Wall later married on 6 April 1885 in Surry Co., NC to Martha Lucinda Steele(1 March 1850 - 14 December 1939), daughter of Doctor Franklin Steele and Prudence Nicholson. This marriage produced five children: Mildred A., Admer Crosier, Myrtle, Callie Carter, and Guthrie Bryant “Buck”. “Tall” Wall was a farmer in the Mulberry Community, Surry Co., NC, most of his adult life. He is said to have been a member of Company “C”, 21st Regiment, NC Troops, enlisting at age 14 in 1864. 216

Samuel was a farmer in the Little Richmond Community of Surry Co., NC. He and "Betty" were members of Little Richmond Baptist Church. On the 1900 census they are living in Marsh Township, household #6, and she is listed as "Margery", while the name Mary is taken from their joint tombstone. The census also indicates that they had four children with all four children still living. Some lists of this couple's children shows a son named Andrew but no proof of this has ever been located. 216

Hiram Bledsau[Bledsoe] was born Oct. 27, 1654. Deceased Aug. 17, 1921. Was married to Sallie Stanley the year 1888. To this union were born 8 children 5 living 3 dead. He professed a hope 31 years ago and joined the church at Mt. Pleasant. He lived a consistent member until death. Bro. Hiram was afflicted with a cancer, though his suffering was great, he bore it patiently. 1517

Henry was a farmer in Marsh Township, Surry Cty.,NC. He and his family were members of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Jenkinstown, and he and his wife "Lou" are buried in unmarked graves in that church cemetery. In the 1900 census of Surry County it is stated that this couple had had two children with only one living. Unfortunately that one child was not named, nor was its gender or age given. It is unknown at this time where Rhoda and Wilhilminna May were residing. 216
