On 30 Nov 1897 when Nancy Jane was 21, she married Peter "Pet" Weldon KEY, son of W. Harden KEY & Lucinda "Cindy" PARKS, in Surry Co., NC.1588 Born in Jun 1873 in Surry Co., NC. Peter "Pet" Weldon died in Forsyth Co., NC on 29 Mar 1943, he was 69.

1948 Mar 30 - Forsyth Co., NC - Obituary in Winston-Salem Journal:
Death Claims Pet W. Key - Pet Weldon Key, 69, Winston-Salem, Route 2, Country Club Road, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock. Mr. Key, a well-known farmer, died very unexpectedly after having worked in the field all day. It is thought that his death was the result of a heart attack. He was born in Surry County a son of Hardin and Lucinda Parks Key, and was a member of Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church. He had lived most of his life and at the present home since Christmas. Survivors includes the wife, the former Miss Nancy Jane Jenkins, two daughters Mrs. Beulah Shell of Wallburg and Mrs. Mettie Parks of this city; four sons B. T. Key Winston-Salem Route 2, and Gaither, Joe and Doc Key all of Winston-Salem; 16 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Eldora Lakey of Greensboro, and one brother Bynum Key of Galax, Va. Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night.

1597. Ollie May JENKINS. Born on 21 Apr 1881 in Surry Co., NC. Ollie May died in Surry Co., NC on 5 Mar 1923, she was 41.1589 Buried on 6 Mar 1923 in Mount Herman Bap. Ch. Cemetery.1589,1254

Ollie had some deformties. She played the fiddle which her father would have to tune for her. 1590
