Photos belonging to Mallie Ada Turner born ca 1897 and lived in Mt. Airy, NC on Worth Street until she moved to Pacolet, S. C. ca 1920. Her daughter Billie T. Parker donated these photos in hopes that someone might identify them or know the ones that are identified.

Photos donated by Ruth Bloom of Lexington, Ga. The photos belong to Aunt Minnie Jane Lowe Rice(1876-1859) who lived in the Long Hill area of Surry County. Her address was State Road Rt. #2 in 1908. In 1912 she moved to the Ararat area until around 1925 at which time she moved to High Point.

#7	#8 9-6-2004, Wilma, My mother and I believe photo # 8 submitted by Ruth Bloom, is Thomas Granville Sheppard. He was my mother's brother, son of Ira R. and Bettie (Walters) Sheppard. He was born May 1913 in Surry Co. and died in Delaware March 1984. Bettie was the daughter of William G. and Mildred (Zachary) (Hicks) Walters and grandaughter of Richard and Rebecca (Rice) Walters who are all buried at Mountain Park on their old homeplace. Minnie Rice was Bettie's 1st cousin and I remember when she visited Delaware in 1938. I have been in touch with Ruth Bloom in the past and we exchanged some pictures and information.
